School Leaders

Our consultancy service can benefit the school in a number of ways.

Service Benefit
Carry out a carbon audit and obtain an Energy Rating for the schoolOn October 1st 2008, legislation will make Energy Performance Certificates a requirement for schools. Getting a rating now means staying ahead of the legislation and expediting a successful programme to manage the school's energy demand.
Facilitate a sustainability self-assessmentThe assessment format we use for evaluations has the same headings as Ofsted's self-evaluation form. We believe that in the coming 12 months, Ofsted will expect to see a sustainabaility SEF before inspection.
Introduce recognised initiatives related to sustainability, e.g. EcoSchools, Healthy Schools, or Sportsmark. The school will be a more stimulating place and will raise its status in the community for its efforts. It will also provide demonstrable evidence of engagement with the Every Child Matters policy. Furthermore, these measures can raise attainment by improving the well-being of students.
